1. About these terms

This site is operated by Tobin Capital Limited (company number 12557981), whose registered office is at 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX, (“we”, “us”), on behalf of Luke Tobin. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2. Ownership of the framework, quiz and content

The Four Faces of Self-Doubt and the archetype model of the Mouse, the Lion, the Clown and the Elephant are Luke Tobin’s proprietary framework, set out in The Power of Self-Doubt. All content on this site and in its bonuses belongs to Luke Tobin or is licensed to him. That includes:

the framework and the archetype descriptions
the 16 profile names, codes and descriptions
the quiz questions and answer sets
the scoring and ranking method
the results text, tools and exercises
the PDF report and other pre-order bonuses
the text, graphics, design and layout of the site

3. What you may do

Take the quiz and read your results for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Share your own result, such as your profile name, with friends, colleagues or on social media, as long as you credit Luke Tobin and The Power of Self-Doubt.

4. What you must not do

You must not do any of the following, in whole or in part, by any means, without our prior written permission:

copy, reproduce, republish, download for redistribution, sell or distribute the quiz, the framework, the profiles, the report or any other content
adapt, translate or build on them to create another quiz, assessment, questionnaire, model, workshop, course, coaching programme, app or product
use them in coaching, consulting, training, HR, recruitment or any other professional or commercial setting
present them, or anything closely based on them, as your own work
scrape, extract or mine content from the site, or use any of it to train, test or prompt artificial intelligence or machine learning systems
remove or hide any copyright notice or credit

Coaches, trainers and organisations who want to use the framework with clients or teams can ask about a licence at admin@thepowerofselfdoubt.com.

5. Your results are for reflection, not diagnosis

The quiz is a self-reflection tool based on the ideas in The Power of Self-Doubt. It is not a psychological, clinical or diagnostic assessment, and it is not a substitute for professional advice. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to your GP or a qualified professional. In the UK, you can also call Samaritans free at any time on 116 123.

Your Self-Doubt Profile, scores, reports and any other results are produced by Luke Tobin’s own proprietary framework and scoring, developed from his research, interviews and experience. They are not scientifically validated, they are not a psychometric test, and they are not an accurate or complete description of you, your personality, your abilities or your suitability for any role. Please treat them as a prompt for reflection only.

Do not use the quiz, results, reports or team materials to make decisions about other people, including recruitment, promotion, performance, pay or any other employment decision. The team workshop kit is designed for voluntary, open conversation, and nobody should be required to share their profile.

Results depend on how you answer at the time and may change. To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that any result, report or resource is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for decisions you make, or losses you suffer, in reliance on them. Section 8 also applies.

6. Using the site

We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free or up to date. You must not misuse the site, for example by introducing malicious code, trying to gain unauthorised access, or interfering with how it works.

7. Links to other sites

The site links to retailers and other websites. We aren’t responsible for their content, products or terms.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, the quiz or its results, unless it is caused by our negligence or breach of these terms. We are not liable for business losses.

9. Breaches

If you break these terms, your right to use the site ends immediately. We may take action to protect our intellectual property, including legal proceedings.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
